The context
ANMV had several Workey servers in versions 3.5 and 3.6 that needed to be upgraded to the latest stable version of Workey Engine (6.9). The project, carried out on a fixed-price basis, was based on Workey (BPM) and Oracle technologies, with a focus on compatibility of existing processes and instances.
Our intervention
The project objectives covered the entire technical chain:
- Upgrade of 2 of the 3 Workey servers (tiers 1 and 3) to the latest stable version of Workey Engine (6.9)
- Migration of database content to make existing process instances compatible with the new version
- Update of the modeling of the various ANMV processes on the latest version of Workey Designer
- Migration of specific developments carried out on Workey servers to account for tool changes
- Migration of third-party business applications from JBOSS to TOMCAT, from Java 1.5 and 1.6 to 1.7, as well as various links with Workey
The results
- Rewriting of process modeling to make them compatible with the new Workey Web designer and the new version of Workey Engine, as automatic migration was not possible for all of the client's processes
- Migration of database content for compatibility of existing instances
- Migration of a specific third-party application to make it compatible with the latest version of Workey Engine
- Completion of a pilot
ANMV renewed its trust in us, with a new TMA that started following the completion of a Workey platform version upgrade project carried out over one year.
