The National Frequency Agency (ANFR) plays a crucial role in controlling radioelectric frequencies to ensure interference-free use of our everyday electronic devices.
As the 2024 Olympic Games approach, the ANFR must face the major challenge of monitoring and securing all frequencies.
Context
The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris present a challenge for the ANFR, the leading actor in French frequencies.
As the body responsible for managing and regulating radioelectric frequencies, the ANFR plays a critical role in a world where digital is omnipresent, where emerging technologies and wireless communications dominate.
During these global events, its crucial mission is to oversee and allocate frequencies to prevent any potential interference of electronic devices operating on the same frequency band.
Facing this major responsibility, the ANFR partnered with Océane Consulting Data Management to meet the challenge of the Digital Revolution at the 2024 Olympic Games.
In a joint effort, the two entities implemented an innovative solution for dematerialization of the control and labeling process. Thanks to an application developed by Océane Consulting DM, the ANFR can now manage all operations.
Project Objectives
The joint objectives of the ANFR and Océane Consulting DM are to provide a solution for dematerialization of the frequency allocation process, control of labeling equipment, to propose field monitoring as well as frequency usage control.
Implementation of a Dematerialization Solution
To implement this dematerialization solution, several steps were put in place:
- Definition of the application scope, understanding, identifying and breaking down the requirement
- Definition of a scope in order to set a budget and a schedule
- Start the construction phase during which a solution will be developed in an agile approach.
Objective of the agile approach: This method aims to ensure risk management by promoting continuous improvement. It depends on working conditions and environments conducive to delivering a product that meets quality standards, costs and scheduled deadlines.
The project was implemented thanks to a reactive, high-performing and competent technical team and thanks to cutting-edge technological tools such as:

Results
Following a test event earlier in the year, we observed how users interacted with the application. We received very positive feedback from users, who praised the application's ease of use, partly attributed to its ergonomics.
