[Video] Digital Revolution for the Olympics 2024 10/01/2024

The 2024 Olympic Games represent a major challenge for the National Frequency Agency (ANFR), which must ensure the control and security of the numerous frequencies emitted during this global event. In this article, let's discover how ANFR, in close collaboration with Océane Consulting Data Management, met this challenge by implementing a digitalization solution for the control and labeling process.

The National Frequency Agency:

ANFR holds a central position in the French technological landscape as the body responsible for the management and regulation of radio frequencies. Its role is crucial in an increasingly connected world, where wireless communications and emerging technologies play a dominant role.

During global events such as the 2024 Olympic Games, one of ANFR's main responsibilities is to oversee and allocate radio frequencies in order to prevent interference from electronic devices transmitting on the same frequency band.

What are radio waves?

A radio wave is a form of electromagnetic wave used to transmit information wirelessly. When two frequencies transmit on the same frequency band, this can result in electromagnetic interference. They propagate through space in the form of oscillating electric and magnetic fields. These waves are utilized in various fields such as telecommunications, broadcasting, television, mobile communications and other applications.

If these radio waves transmit on the same frequency band, several risks are considered, such as:

  • Signal jamming
  • Performance reduction
  • Safety risk
  • Non-compliance with regulations

The role of Océane Consulting DM

In order to eliminate any potential risk during the 2024 Olympic Games, ANFR and Océane Consulting Data Management collaborated to implement a new digitalization solution for the control and labeling process. Thanks to the creation of an application developed by Océane Consulting DM, ANFR will be able to manage all operations, ranging from appointment scheduling to on-site control. It is through this application that all risks are eliminated, thus ensuring the smooth running of the 2024 Olympics without any electromagnetic disruption.

In summary, the collaboration between ANFR and Océane Consulting DM represents a model of success in implementing innovative solutions for frequency control during the 2024 Olympic Games.
