The context
ANMV wanted to upgrade its Workey BPM platform to a more recent and stable version in order to improve reliability and optimize its business processes. The service was provided on a fixed-price basis, using technology based on Workey (BPM) and Oracle.
Our intervention
Oceane Consulting DM handled the complete technical migration of the Workey platform around the following objectives:
- The upgrade of 2 of the 3 Workey servers (tiers 1 and 3) to the latest stable version of Workey Engine (6.9).
- The migration of database content so that existing process instances are compatible with the new version of Workey Engine.
- The update of the modeling of the various ANMV processes to the latest version of Workey Designer.
- The migration of specific developments performed on Workey servers to account for tool changes.
- The migration of third-party business applications from JBOSS to TOMCAT, from Java 1.5 and 1.6 to 1.7, as well as various links with Workey.
The results
- Rewriting of process modeling to be compatible with the new Workey web designer and new version of Workey Engine, as automatic migration of modeling was not possible for all of the client's processes.
- Migration of database content so that existing instances are compatible with the new version of Workey Engine.
- Migration of a specific third-party application to make it compatible with the latest version of Workey Engine.
- Implementation of a pilot.
ANMV renewed its confidence in Oceane Consulting DM, with a new managed services agreement starting following the completion of the Workey platform upgrade project.
