Wabtec has factories scattered throughout the world, each having developed its own document management practices. This fragmented operation limits knowledge sharing and complicates the integration of new structures into the group.
The challenge was to provide the group with a single application to manage all documents, standardize work methodology and automate knowledge transfer by facilitating access to information.
Our intervention
Oceane Consulting DM implemented an open and modern solution, built on a solid foundation enabling long-term investment and capable of remaining performant regardless of document exchange volumes, with the ability to adapt in real time.
The solution meets the project's main objectives:

The platform relies on powerful search with Elasticsearch, business workflow management and a structured classification scheme. Access rights are managed precisely at site or module level.

- Interconnection: connection possible with other pillar applications to constitute a single search point, with interface to ERPs.
- Automation: automatic document sharing with SISCOs, automatic email sending to customers and connection to the supplier portal.
- Technology: API connection with other applications, powerful search via Elasticsearch and business workflow management.
- Security: all access rights are managed at site or module level.
